The Climate Change International Week Celebrated in Balkh Province

The climate Change International Week Celebrated in the Conference room
of Balkh University on October 17, 2019.  

Schah-Zaman Maiwandi Director General of National Environmental
Protection Agency and his colleges, Mohammad Afzal Hadid Director of Balkh
Provincial Council, Doctor Khplwak Director of Engineer and Environmental
Protection Faculties, Teachers of this University, Directors of South Zone
Environmental Protection directorates and governmental directorates of that
province, Representatives of Ulema Council, Civil Society, National and
International Organizations and Students of Balkh University participated in
this glorious program. 

In this program, Mr. Schah-Zaman Maiwandi talked about factors of
Climate change in Afghanistan and he added: Afghanistan is one of the
extraordinarily vulnerable countries in the section of Climate Change.

He said: “Drought is the result of climate change and that is a series
threat for environmental protection, society and economic.”

Other lecturers of that program certified the activities of this
agency.

In the countdown of program distributed certificates on attenders of three
day workshops. 

And also in the last moment of certified and applauded by Director of
Balkh Provincial Council, director of 
South Zone Ulema Council, Director of Balkh University, director of
Information and Culture, Environmental protection.

Mr. Maiwandi during
his trip to Balkh province has seen from different environmental projects
.
